2010 Summer Asia Program -- Volunteer Opportunity

Program Description The mission of the program is to help improve local Chinese high school students' English familiarity through daily activities and communication; also provide an opportunity for US students to explore the wonder of China. Volunteers work as mentors to live, play, study, and travel with students with all communication in English. Mentors are responsible for activity planning, game creation, and teaching materials.
Place Cities in the east and south region of China such as Shanghai and Guangdong area.
Program Date Section 1: June-July 2010
Section 2: July-August 2010
4 weeks for each section
Volunteer Requirement
  • Current College Students
  • Proficient both in written and spoken Chinese and English for bilingual students
Volunteer #
  • 2 English-Chinese bilingual students for each section
  • 2 Native English speaking students for each section
  • Each volunteer participate in 1 section.
Volunteer Package
  • Free US-China round trip air ticket
  • Free housing and meals during the program
  • Stipend: USD 150
